Tricorne Hat

Followed by the traditional style from the 17th century in France and Spain, it was worn by both aristocracy and common civilians. The distinguishing characteristic is that three sides of the brim were turned up to form a triangle around the crown, usually, it's gold, silver or red. Feather plumage is usually added to the hat to indicate the town crier can read and write.

Shirt

The modern poet blouse combines two aspects: the fineness of ruffled shirts worn as an undergarment by aristocrats and informality of plain shirts worn as a standalone garment by workmen.

Waist Coat

The waistcoat or frockcoat is a traditional attire of a Town Crier, with contrasting colour from the great coat to enhance impact. It went out of fashion towards the end of the 19th century.

Great Coat

There is a plenty colour you could choose for the coat, usually, it goes with the town's representative colour. It allows you to stand out from the crowd and for formal occasions. It transitioned into cutaway morning coats in the late 19th century.

Breeches

Breeches is another traditional element of the Town Crier attire. It reaches just below the knee.

Buckle Shoes

Traditional footwear for Town Crier includes either buckle shoes or knee-high boots.
